Wonders Reading
Eureka Math
Wonders is a K–6 literacy curriculum from McGraw Hill that helps students develop English Language Arts (ELA) skills. The program is based on the Science of Reading and is designed to meet the Common Core State Standards for Reading/Language Arts. It includes a variety of resources, such as authentic texts, research-based instruction, and digital tools, to support students in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

Eureka Math is a math curriculum for grades pre-K through 12 that was created by the nonprofit Great Minds. The program is based on the world's most successful math programs and is aligned with Common Core. Eureka Math's goal is to help students develop a deep understanding of math concepts, procedural skills, and fluency, and to apply math to solve problems in and out of the classroom. The program is designed to make math more enjoyable to learn and teach by equating mathematical concepts to stories, encouraging students to use mental strategies, and focusing on the process instead of the answer

Handwriting/ Typing
Our K-4 social studies curriculum follows the Nebraska State Standards, providing a rich exploration of communities, cultures, and historical concepts. Students engage with interactive resources like PebbleGo, Scholastic News, and BrainPop to enhance their understanding and make learning dynamic and engaging. Lessons are designed to help young learners develop a sense of civic responsibility and appreciation for diverse perspectives. Through hands-on activities and multimedia tools, we aim to build a strong foundation in social studies that supports lifelong learning.
Our science curriculum aligns with Nebraska state standards to ensure comprehensive learning and understanding across all grade levels. We enrich this curriculum by integrating engaging resources such as Mystery Science, which offers hands-on, inquiry-based lessons that captivate students' curiosity. Additionally, BrainPOP Jr. provides interactive videos and quizzes that support key concepts and foster critical thinking skills. Together, these resources create a dynamic and interactive science education experience, preparing students to explore and excel in the world of science.
Handwriting Without Tears: A multi-sensory program for grades K–5 that uses techniques like music, movement, and Playdoh to help students develop fine and gross motor skills. The program also includes a Pre-K portion that focuses on prewriting skills. HWT uses direct instruction, guided practice, and independent practice to help students build writing automaticity.
Keyboarding Without Tears: A web-based curriculum for grades K–5 that teaches typing, digital citizenship, computer readiness, and online test prep. KWT uses a developmentally appropriate approach that includes patented color-coded rows and "rooftops" on Home Row keys to help students learn finger placement. The program also includes sample lessons for different grades.
6th Grade Language Arts Program: StudySync
6th Grade students will be using a program called StudySync by McGraw Hill. This program is used in 6th-12 grade. StudySync is a comprehensive English Language Arts curriculum that provides students with the opportunity to explore and learn from a robust library of diverse authors and genres in both a print and digital platform. 5th/6th Grade Science
Our 5th and 6th grade students use TCI History Alive which provides a variety of lessons, including video activities, reading activities and hands-on classroom activities. This program includes opportunities to examine primary sources, conduct inquiry projects and explore diverse perspectives. Students will also use Scholastic News for current events.
Our 5th and 6th grade students participate in science activities using the Next Generation Science Standards with support from ESU 5 staff and distance learning. Students learn through hands on learning and critical thinking while focusing on key scientific concepts, practices an cross-cutting ideas that prepare students for the real-world problem solving and STEM careers.

Library
Students at Tri County participate in enrichment classes. Below are a list of extra classes that are taught to our students. Students participate in Music and Physical Education daily, while Counseling and Library are offered once a week.
Students meet weekly with our community counselor. Tri County uses the Second Step Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) program. This classroom based curriculum teaches foundational social-emotional and self-regulation skills for all students. Our 6th grade students participate in All-Stars. This research based program is to delay the onset of risk-taking behaviors. The program is centered around character development, identify positive ideals, establish conventional norms and build personal commitments and strengthen the bonds between students and positive institutions like the school.
Our K-6 music program immerses students in the fundamentals of rhythm and melody, while also exploring harmony and musical form. We emphasize the development of musicianship, including literacy, vocal skills, and instrumental techniques. Through hands-on experiences in creating, performing, and responding to music, students engage with a diverse range of media and repertoire. This comprehensive approach ensures a well-rounded musical education, nurturing both creativity and technical skills.
Our physical education program for K-6 students focuses on developing fundamental skills and knowledge through engaging activities. Students enhance spatial awareness, learning how to navigate and understand their body's position in space. Cooperation is emphasized through team-based games and exercises, fostering teamwork and communication. Health topics, sports skills, and fitness testing are integrated to promote overall wellness and physical fitness, ensuring students gain a well-rounded understanding of healthy living and athletic ability.
Our K-6 library classes offers a dynamic and engaging experience where students check out a diverse range of books and delve into the works of various authors and illustrators. We integrate STEM activities with literature, creating exciting connections between storytelling and hands-on learning. Through focused literacy skills and language arts concepts, we aim to strengthen students' reading abilities and comprehension. Most importantly, our program is dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of reading in every student.
