book magic

Yesterday, we had the joy of celebrating World Read Aloud Day with a special event that brought our students together in a meaningful way. High school students read to each grade level, sharing stories that entertained, inspired, and connected our school community.

Our high school readers had the opportunity to choose from a variety of books—everything from engaging narrative nonfiction to laugh-out-loud everybody books. Their selections captivated our younger students, who loved listening to the stories and interacting with their older peers. But the excitement wasn’t one-sided—our high school students also had a blast, reliving childhood favorites and stepping into leadership roles.

One of the incredible benefits of having all our students in one building is the ability to foster these kinds of connections across grade levels. Events like this highlight the strong sense of community at Tri County, where older students serve as role models and mentors for our younger learners.

We appreciate our high school students for their leadership and enthusiasm, and we are grateful for the power of a good book to bring our school together. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success!
